Skate!

I’ve been playing this skate demo like a mad man for almost a month now. The fact that the tiny area you get to skate around in is still fun after probably 20+ hours of play is pretty impressive in its own right.
Playing reminds me of the first time I played Tony Hawk. There’s something about the way the game controls and the animations on screen. Doing a simple trick just feels so satisfying. I can’t wait to cruise around the entire world they’ve built.
My only problem with the game, no lip tricks! i understand why they aren’t in the game, but I can think of a dozen of easy solutions. I love skating mini ramps, and most of the tricks you can do are lip tricks. So for them to be just left out completely is a bit of a bummer, but oh well. Something to look forward to when Skate 2 comes out.
There is a really neat recording feature that allows you to upload your little video (a minute 30 or less) to the Skate website. I tried to do it, but I haven’t been able to get it to work (they are suppose to send you an email to the address connected to your xbox gamertag, but nothing). So instead, here’s another drawing!
